Vets and Sexual Trauma#
by Melody Brooke, MA, Conflict Coach, Motivational Speaker

Recent research from the Veterans Administration reports that roughly 15 percent of Afghanistan and Iraq veterans who seek treatment from the U.S. Veterans Affairs Department have suffered sexual trauma ranging from harassment to rape.

This kind of documentation of the effects of sexual trauma validates our need for the kind of conference we are producing.

According to the article women were most affected , with more than one in seven of those seeking health services also reporting sexual trauma. Slightly less than 1 percent of male veterans seeking medical care reported military sexual trauma.

Helping vets find a way to live beyond their trauma is part of what we are about here at Life Beyond Seminars
